Work is typically divided into in three phases. All concepts, designs, graphics and schedules are submitted to the client for approval in agreement with the project schedule.

Phase 1: Planning, Preliminary Design and Project Schedule

  • Meet with project manager, architect, interior designer, etc.
  • Establish general time line, meeting dates, etc.
  • Receive planned decor / color scheme for project areas

Phase 2: Design Development, Location Plan and Message Schedule Outline

  • Present two unique design concepts for review & discussion
    • Revise & develop per client feedback
  • Plot sign locations on architect’s floor / site plans (provided by client)
  • Develop initial message schedule with recommended text for each sign

Phase 3: Approval of Final Design, Location Plan and Message Schedule

  • Present final designs for acceptance
  • Present final location plan and message schedule for acceptance

Complete Architectural Sign Systems fall into four primary categories:

  1. Main ID
    • Main feature ID sign(s) at front entrance.
  2. Exterior Signs
    • General directional and informational signs for pedestrians and vehicles.
    • Fire Safety directional and informational signs.
    • Parking directional and informational signs.
  3. Interior Signs
    • Deluxe signs in public spaces.
      • Room ID signs with general directional and informational signs.
      • Fire Safety directional and informational signs.
      • Building Entrance Logo ID.
    • Conventional signs for service, basement and garage areas.
      • Room ID signs with general directional and informational signs.
      • Outside Elevator, Fire Safety directional and informational signs.
  4. Miscellaneous
    • Any areas or locations that may have separate “identity,” thus requiring unique design development (discussed with client prior to final contract).
